As an RN in our Emergency Department at ERMC, some duties include:

• Performing plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documenting patient care given.
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assisting patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborating as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Education

• Associate’s degree - Required
• BSN - Preferred

Certifications/Licenses

• BCLS required
• ACLS within (within 30 days of hire)
• PALS or ENPC (within 6 months of hire)
• TNCC (within 6 months of hire)
• Current Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Texas

Skills

• Basic computer knowledge
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Exhibits knowledge of the proper use of the Language Line.
