JOB SUMMARY - The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to clients/patients in the clinic. In this role, a Registered Nurse works closely with doctors, nurse practitioners, and other care providers to deliver effective care to patients. They aid patients from the moment they enter the clinic by collecting patient information, supporting patient evaluation, administering treatments and medication as needed, and educating each patient.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, a Registered Nurse program recognized by the Board of Nursing or from a Program otherwise designated for Registered nurses which has been approved by the State Board of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana Nursing license in good standing.
• The ability to relate with effectiveness to patients and providers.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Notifies clinical supervisor and HR Director or any avoidable absence as soon as possible.
• Performance
• Provides direct support and assistance to any and all physicians or nurse practitioners in the clinic.
• Conducts nursing assessment of patients and obtains complete health history.
• Assists in conducting examination and in providing medical treatments.
• Administers immunizations and other medications.
• Refers patients to other community resources for treatment and assistance.
• Determines patients' need for emergency treatment and refers to local hospital, independently or with direct instruction from the physician or nurse practitioner on premises.
• Productivity
• Reviews all charts on patients who did not keep their appointments to determine what follow up is needed
• Others duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
