Successful plastic surgery practice in Virginia Beach with AAAHC accreditation seeks an experienced PT registered nurse looking for an exciting career.

Looking for a candidate who:

• Has capacity for making quick, intelligent decisions, and initiating appropriate actions
• Possesses excellent communication skills and presents a friendly, caring manner which puts patients at ease
• Great team player looking for a hardworking, professional team
• Knowledge of Quality Improvement and ability/willingness to carry out QI studies

Schedule is typically 3 days per week, approximately 25-35 hours per week as a part-time position. Nights, weekends, holiday off, other than providing on-call availability.

Primarily responsible to assist in the delivery of patient care in the operating room, recovery room. Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Checks surgery patients in and circulates operating rooms.
• Performs nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative period.
• Assessing and documenting patients' status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
• Monitoring patient under direction of surgeon and anesthesia provider until patient discharge.
• Communicates with caretakers about post-op instructions.
• Participates in maintaining AAAHC,OSHA standards and requirements
