Kendal at Ithaca is seeking team-oriented and caring person for a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) in our Health Center. Eligible for a $6,000.00 sign on bonus!

Current Available Schedules:

• Full Time (36 Hours/Week), Evening/Night Shift three 12 hour shifts, Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with some holiday requirement.

Key Functions

• Participates as a member of the nursing team to ensure high-quality care to residents in our Skilled Nursing
• Assists staff with care needs of residents including bathing, dressing, toileting and transferring
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Ensure that residents are functioning at their optimal level of independence
• Promotes and restores residents' quality of life by providing nursing care as determined by the needs of the residents and their individual plans of care

Qualifications

• Currently registered by the NYS Education Department as a Registered Nurse, or ability to transfer licensure to New York State
• Good organization, observation, documentation and hands on care
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
