Regulatory Analyst

Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a Regulatory Analyst/IPP Professional for a position in Grand Rapids or Novi, MI. The duties will be performed in a team environment which consists of staff of varying experience levels in multiple office locations. Working knowledge of the NPDES permitting process and of the National Pretreatment Program preferred.
Primary Functions
- Assist municipal clients with complying with various aspects of the NPDES permit program.
- Assist municipal clients to develop, modify, and implement requirements of their Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP).
- Assist municipal and industrial clients with reviewing and negotiating permit conditions developed by State NPDES permitting agencies.
- Assist industrial clients with navigating and complying with IPP requirements issued by municipalities.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Exposed to occasional lifting and carrying. Will have normal office working conditions and be required to sit and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and maneuvering around project sites for attending client and project meetings and site observations. Able to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education/Licensure
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
Desired Skills/Experience
- 2+ years of experience
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to develop professional and technical correspondence.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
