Reliable, Proactive Nanny/Assistant Needed in Seward Park

DETAILS:

•Location: Seward Park area of Seattle, WA

•Ideal Start Date: April 17, 2023

•Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm

•Children: Care will primarily be for a 1 year old. Their 3 year old will need care after daycare from 2:30/3pm-6pm daily, and their 5, 7, and 9 year olds will need care after school from 4:00pm-6:00pm daily. On Fridays, all children arrive home around 1:00pm.

•Compensation: $25-30/hr depending on experience and qualifications with guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, and overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a week, and mileage reimbursement (I have included a nanny industry standard compensation package) They are open to a live- in nanny.

•One year minimum commitment required, longer-term for multiple years is ideal

The Family:

This fantastic family of seven is seeking an active, engaging nanny to partner with!

Upon arrival, the nanny will help the mother to get the children up, prepare lunches, feed breakfast, and ready for daycare and school. The three year old attends daycare in their neighborhood from 8:00am until pickup around 2:30 or 3:00pm each day. The 5, 7, and 9 year olds will be dropped off at home from school each day at 4:00pm. The older kids are fairly self-sufficient. After school, they have a snack, homework, and shower routine before dinner.

When the older children are home from school, have school breaks, etc, they will require full care during the days.

The children are active, fun, and well behaved. They respond best to routines and structure. They love sports, art, and music.

Parents work both in the home and out of the home (schedules vary daily).

The Job Description:

The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing and loving environment for their children above all else. Job duties will include:

• General childcare duties: feeding snacks and meals, diapers, facilitating naps
• Age appropriate developmental activities indoors and outdoors, such as walks, art, reading, music, and activities
• Providing safe transportation to and from daycare, activities, and outings
• Tidying of spaces used throughout the day including dishes used
• Communicating with parents about the day, any needs, and partner together on child development in order to keep care consistent for the children

Family Assisting duties will include:

• Family laundry
• Changing bedsheets
• Family meal prep

Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:

Their ideal nanny is caring, warm, nonsmoker who has a minimum of two years of relevant childcare experience. They should be detail-oriented and an open communicator who is proactive. Their ideal nanny should be able to successfully multi-task and will cheerfully navigate care for five children at a time.

The family would be open to a live-in nanny for this position. They have worked with a live in nanny in the past and it worked out really well for everyone. They have a nice bedroom with an ensuite bath and shower for the nanny quarters.

The nanny should be current with their CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to update prior to starting the position). No driving is necessary for this position.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
