Covering Limerick City - 40 hour week (Monday to Friday)

Overall Responsibilities

• Take on new clients straight away so we can take on calls immediately and then when we have a carer, they go through the call with new carer and hand it over.
• Cover A/L, sick leave and any HSE cover calls
• Full engagement with team meetings
• Follow policies and procedures
• Report into care manager
• Keep up to date records in line with policy
• Maintain skills and keep up to date with best practise relevant to care delivery in the home.
• Undertake training appropriate to the rolland attend all statutory and mandatory training
• Act at all times within your own skills and competence
• Ensure the areas of risk identified are appropriately monitored and outcomes recorded and acted on.
• Report all incidents and accidents promptly in accordance with Carebright policy
• Ensure the ongoing safety and comfort of all clients
• Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems are maintained and effectively used.
• Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practise
• Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance.

Critieria/ Key Qualities

Need to have the experience and knowledge to go into any house for cover.

A Good knowledge and experience of working with Dementia clients, palliative care and end of life clients.

Up to date manual handling, people handling training, experience of catheter/ convene care and working with hoists.

A good communicator, listener, to be client focused, dedicated and reliable.

Good report writing skills, awareness of GDPR, safeguarding of vulnerable adults and health and safety.

Assisting with activities of daily living and personal care

Report any issues to the management team
