Role and Team
The Remarketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Remarketing and be accountable for facilitating and supporting the ADESA protection product remarketing process. Additionally, the coordinator will cultivate and maintain stable business relationships throughout the ADESA enterprise. The primary focus of the role is managing ADESA owned units, from buyback to sale, across a portfolio of inventory.
Responsibilities
- Daily review, processing, and follow-up on assigned inventory portfolio, which includes:
- Reviewing all relevant information on units re-purchased by ADESA, gathering documents to facilitate a sale.
- Conducting proper follow-up on units in the portfolio, in accordance with quality and production standards.
- Reviewing condition reports of each unit in portfolio to ensure they are fairly represented.
- Determining repairs necessary to maximize value and order those repairs from partner auctions.
- Following up on all repairs, title issues, and sales for each unit in portfolio
- Ensuring internal & external customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous
attention for all transactions as necessary.
- Choose the best sale venue for each unit, work with auction to set units for sale and make proper announcements
- Attend auctions using Simulcast and represent units as they are offered for sale using Remote Rep.
- Display and apply an advanced knowledge and understanding of the auto industry
- Know, practice, and ensure that company policies, procedures and state/federal laws are followed at all times.
- Support all relevant ADESA initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience in customer service required (experience in claims management or remarketing preferred).
- Experience with auction/VLC Front Office (titles), lot operations, arbitration, and other auction operational activities is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational, time-management, and customer service skills
- Experience and strong working knowledge of Google suite products
- Proven track record of applying critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment to resolve issues and concerns
- Must exhibit strong team-player attributes with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to demonstrate an advanced knowledge and understanding of the auto industry
- Must be willing to travel up to 5% to Indianapolis HQ
