Remote Financial Representative

Start Date: 6/26/2023

Training Hours: Between the hours of 7 AM-4:30 pm (4-6 weeks of training - NO time off)

Regular Hours: Flexible Hours during 6 AM-6 PM, Monday to Friday

Pay: $16.20/hr

Safeguarding the Medicare Trust Fund via the timely and accurate recovery of overpaid or erroneously paid Medicare claims through depositing and recording of cash (negotiable instruments) into multiple bank accounts and into the accounting system, refund, offset of claim payments, creating extended repayment schedules, referrals to Treasury and negotiations with appropriate entities via telephone and written communication.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret correspondence to determine overpaid situations.
• Establish debts by performing claim adjustments, resolving suspense and issuing demand letters.
• Establish Accounts Receivables (AR)s via manual process and issue demand letters.
• For Medicare Secondary Payor (MSP) overpayments, submit Electronic Correspondence Referral SystemAnalyze cash receipt and supporting documentation to determine how cash should be properly allocated.
• Reconcile deposit and ensure balancing.
• Upload check data into processing systems.
• Request manual payments to forward money on to another Medicare contractor or to the
• appropriate bank account as needed.
• Resolve checks received that cannot be deposited by the bank.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 year related work experience
• Experience working with Excel and Word
• Experience adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, comparing numbers and calculating percentages/ratios
