Judge group is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Beef Rendering Manager in Texas.

As a Rendering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the rendering operations within the facility and ensuring efficient and compliant processing of animal by-products. Your primary objective will be to manage the rendering process, optimize resource utilization, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

• Rendering Process Management:

  • Oversee the entire rendering process, from the receipt of raw materials (animal by-products) to the production of finished goods (rendered products).
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality in the rendering process.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of rendering equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.

• Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and industry standards related to rendering operations and the handling of animal by-products.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, training programs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent accidents, promote safe work practices, and mitigate risks associated with the rendering process.

• Resource Management:

  • Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth rendering operations.
  • Optimize resource utilization by analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise a team of rendering operators and technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, address employee concerns, and implement disciplinary measures when necessary.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the production of consistent and high-quality rendered products.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify any deviations or non-compliance issues and take corrective actions promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as animal science, agriculture, or industrial management (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in rendering operations management, preferably within a beef kill/slaughter facility.
• Strong knowledge of beef rendering processes, equipment, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in computer applications and software related to rendering operations and data analysis.
