JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Rental Technician
Reports To: Rental Supervisor
Department: Retail
Classification: Seasonal FT/PT
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE:
To work with Rental guests to provide an exceptional & efficient rental experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide consistent exceptional customer service
- Assist guests through the rental process, focusing on the guest experience and efficiency of rental form time
- Properly utilize the RTP rental system to ensure all equipment is correctly checked out and checked in when returned
- Work with the Rental Tech Lead and Rental Supervisor to analyze and reach goals on flow efficiency & rental form time
- Offer every guest the following components- damage waiver, helmets, ski storage/basket check & demo upgrades
- Consistently monitor the guest flow and work with the Lead & Supervisor to expedite the rental process
- Understand and communicate the rental & demo equipment packages and features to ensure the best match for the guests
- Ensure all equipment is returned efficiently and properly in the RTP rental system
- Adjust bindings to fit renters' characteristics
- Work with Rental leads, the Rental Supervisor and the Repair staff to ensure the highest level of equipment maintenance
- Work with supervisor to maintain Rental Shop presentation standards
- Work with Rental Lead and Supervisor to obtain all Binding Manufacturers’ Certifications
- Present yourself as a Mountain Resort Ambassador by engaging the guests and providing Resort-wide information
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Maintain cleanliness of store
Assist in physical inventory counts

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Basic knowledge of the ski/snowboard industry and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Basic knowledge of rental operations
Outgoing personality
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
- None
EXPERIENCE:
- Rental/Retail experience-preferred
