We are actively hiring for Repair and Maintenance Tech for our plant in Solon, OH

2nd and 3rd shift availalble

Shift - 2nd Shift (2PM to 10PM), 3rd Shift (10PM to 6AM)

Duties & Responsibilites

• Inspects building structure to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions in need of repair
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches, fluorescent bulbs, fuses, minor appliances, cords) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.)
• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g., preparing surface and using brush, sprayer or roller to apply paints, stains and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)
• Installs, positions and remounts modular offices and space (e.g., furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, file cabinets) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various power and specialty tools.
• Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment
• Performs outside building maintenance and clearance of hanging tree branches, etc.
• Responsible for chemical waste disposal and sharps container disposal,and following safety guidelines & regulations
• Coordinates with outside vendors as needed
• Responsible for alarm system
• Responsible for other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

• Ability to reach, write, speak & understand English
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Must be customer service oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, co-workers, employees, contractors and vendors to obtain and provide useful information
• Forklift certified
• Ability to use common tools
• Ability to use correct tools and safe use of them
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to understand and follow directions as given
• Ability to use miscellaneous office equipment (e.g., computers, fax machine, copier, etc.)
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions
