Summary

CHS has an opportunity in our facility located in Grandin, ND. We are looking for an individual to join our Sunflower team in the research department working as a Research Technician. You will assist team members in a professional manner and promote a positive image of CHS. You must have the ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sunflower data collection and evaluations.
• Work in the Sunflower nurseries assisting in thinning, tagging, bagging, and pollinating plants.
• Assist harvesting, threshing, packeting nursery seed.
• Operate lab cleaning equipment.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Work extended hours during the months of August and October
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• General safety
• In-field training of nursery procedures
• Knowledge of tasks associated with sunflower nurseries
• Must meet minimum age requirement

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
• Ability to travel locally as needed-transportation is provided
• Legible hand-writing
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
