Support the preparation, review and reporting of reserving and capital processes within Vhi.

Role Purpose
Support the preparation, review and reporting of reserving and capital processes within Vhi.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in the production of regulatory and accounting required quarterly claims reserves and forward looking projections
- Support the team on the population, construction, running and maintenance of the SCR model
- Assist in the completion of relevant identified sections of Pillar 2 reporting, such as ORSA stress and scenario testing
- Assist in the completion of relevant identified sections of Pillar 3 reporting, such as SFCR, RSR and QRTs
- Work on the preparation and, where necessary, presentation of materials for the Risk and Reserving Committees
- Prepare and present reports to senior management as required, setting out key insights and conclusions of analysis carried out
- Maintain key relationships with stakeholders across the business such as the claims and finance functions
- Assist in the adoption of new reserving methodologies and working to improve effectiveness and efficiencies in the business
- Provide general actuarial support to other areas of the business as required
Technical:
- Have clearly demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Excel.
- Knowledge of Tableau, VBA and ResQ is desirable
- Proven ability to work individually or as part of a team, to make decisions quickly when required and resilient to challenge
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Education & Knowledge:
- Newly/nearly qualified actuary
- Experience in capital modelling and/or reserving within non-life market is desirable
