Riverside Cottages is looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our direct care team! At Riverside, every resident is an individual who is treated with respect, dignity, care, and patience. To provide excellent care, we ensure that the staff to resident ratio is higher than state standards. This position of Medication Tech/Resident Aide is in a state licensed Assisted Living Facility. Duties include helping elderly residents with their activities of daily living.

Shifts available are: 7pm-7am with rotating weekends

Responsibilities and Duties

Review residents’ care with day shift. Check each resident and her or his status with member of day shift staff.

Assist with preparation for bed, which includes toileting, dental care and changing into night clothes.

Complete rounds every 1-2 hours. Make sure the resident does not need to be changed if incontinent or needs assistance with toileting.

Clean common areas living room, dining room, porches and bathrooms.

Complete laundry for all daytime clothes, and any left over linens from day shift.
Fold all linens and place in appropriate closets and drawers. Hang all resident clothing in laundry rooms fro day shift to return to room on the next shift.

Shower assigned residents in evening or early mornings based on shower schedule. If a resident has been incontinent, he or she must be washed appropriately.

All trash cans need to be emptied, cleaned and relined with a clean bag.

No loud talking, shouting or acting disrespectful to residents or other staff. Riverside Cottages is a wonderful facility with an excellent reputation. It needs to remain as such.

Stay off cell phones, when you are on break, you may use your personal equipment.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Saint Augustine, FL 32086: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Assisted living: 1 year (Preferred)
• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Medication Technician (Preferred)
