About Brighter Futures for Children:
Brighter Futures for Children Ltd (BFFC) helps children overcome developmental trauma resulting from adverse childhood experiences such as neglect and child abuse. BFFC specialises in Single Occupancy (one child per home) to provide a therapeutic environment where children enjoy positive nurturing relationships with supportive adults. All staff undertake therapeutic training and continuous personal development during their employment with BFFC. Additionally, BFFC will commission and provide evidence-informed therapeutic intervention that have demonstrated effectiveness in assisting traumatised children to heal.

Location: Rathmullan, Malin, Falcarragh
Essential: A full valid drivers license from the Republic of Ireland or the UK
The Residential Social Care Worker will:
- provide a Key-Worker role to traumatised children.
- work effectively as part of a social care staff team and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
- ensure that social care interventions are delivered appropriately to children in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and procedures, the Tusla commissioning contract, guidance from the clinical therapeutic team and instructions from the Tusla social workers.
- abide by health & safety requirements consistently.
- work on a rota basis including overnights and weekend cover.
- adhere to and complete administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.

Required Qualification:
If you have one of the qualifications listed below, you may be short-listed.
· Honours or Ordinary Bachelor’s degree in Social Care, Applied Social Care, Social Care Studies/Practice at a minimum Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
National Diploma in Social Care, Applied Social Care, Social Care Studies/Practice, minimum Level 7 awarded by HETAC/IT.
· National Diploma in Applied Social Studies (Disabilities), The Open Training College, minimum Level 7 HETAC Accredited.
-BSc (Hons) Social Work (Queens University Belfast or Ulster University)
· Other Relevant Qualifications - BSc (Hons) Degrees in: Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth and Community Work (Level 7), Social Work, Social Sciences, Teaching & Nursing, Early Childhood Studies, Addiction Studies.
It is a mandatory requirement that all applicants have legal permission to work in the Republic of Ireland. It is the applicants' responsibility to evidence their legal permission to undertake paid employment in the Republic of Ireland as this is a condition of employment.
Salary: From €14.49 per hour
