Job description
Carries out all duties and responsibilities of a Director of Clinical Education and faculty member teaching Respiratory Care in the School of Health Care. Responsible for supervising and coordinating all clinical activities for the Respiratory Care program; Maintain record of clinical compliance for each clinical site. Organizes clinical faculty schedules and student clinic schedules. Must possess knowledge of academic management, effective principles of curriculum/program development and assessment, positive interpersonal skills, effective and correct oral and written communication skills, and faculty evaluation techniques. Must possess knowledge in the following areas: Principles and procedures pertaining to higher education, especially teaching methodologies; standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility; and college mission, goals and objectives. Must possess the ability to supervise and coordinate student activities and establish good working relationships with alumni, businesses, students, media, faculty and others in the college community.

This position is located on various campuses in the School of Health Care – Respiratory Care department.

Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and hold such professional license or certificate as is required by the state in which he or she is employed. Must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a RRT, or which at least two (2) years should have been spent in a clinical respiratory care and at least two (2) years spent in a teaching position in an accredited respiratory care program.
