Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Office Associate is to coordinate the office functions including any office paperwork, vendor information, schedules, and other clerical duties.
Major Responsibilities
The major responsibilities for this position include:
- Reconcile the Ace statement
- Complete all payable s for store manager’s or owner’s approval
- Send all receivables to outstanding accounts
- Deposits, change in register drawers.
- Filing
- Submit all background checks for pre-employment
- Verify that all paperwork is submitted with each new hire and file according to computer guidelines
- Post all law posters and company policies
- Reconcile all cash tills for cash over and shorts for cashiers and record deposits for store manager, learn registers.
- Prepare and close the payable s, receivables, and daily sales for positing to the general ledger or the accountant
- Print all price changes through hotsheets
- Printing tags
- Scheduling
- Set up training for employees
- Help with scanning in the delivery trucks.
The minimum requirements for this position include the following:
- Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred. Strong familiarity of general office administration.
- Experience in a retail environment either in marketing, sales, or back office.
- Skills/Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Windows, MS Word, Excel, and other computer software, database programs.
- Knowledge of retail computer systems and electronic cash registers a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting (50lbs) and perform all functions as set fort
