POSITION SUMMARY:
Deep Mile has an opening for an EHR Adoption Consultant - Revenue Cycle Specialist (Travel Required) to join our team.
The Defense Health Agency Health Informatics division plays an important role providing guidance that supports the end users of MHS GENESIS during implementation both prior to and post Go- Live. To ensure that end users feel confident using the system to continue providing world-class care to their patients, DHA Health Informatics has developed the End User Modernization Strategy. The Revenue Cycle support team will be used to facilitate the Business Process Management activities and services provided by Defense Health Agency- Health Informatics in support of the Revenue Cycle adoption scheduled for a multi-phased/multi-site implementation at all current GENESIS sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies clinical experience and clinical informatics expertise to provide current state workflow assessments at sites preparing to deploy MHS GENESIS Revenue Cycle user adoption.
- Facilitates key stakeholder discussion and translates end-user needs into system optimization based on sound informatics principles.
- Serves as a contributing member of the clinical applications team, dedicated to the development of electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflow and practice and align with the current best practice standards.
- Anticipates and identifies complex clinical and business processes and informatics issues, monitors and measures the risk factors. Communicates risk factors to informatics leadership and stakeholders. Manages projects to ensure the implementation of continuous quality control of processes and deliverables.
- Leads the development of presentations to support deployment activities; facilitate and conduct workflow gap analysis; assess stakeholder adoption readiness and propensity for change through change management facilitation tools.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, assists in the identification of program resource needs, engages PMO on functional changes, ensures clinical provider awareness, minimizes interruption of MTF operations, and creates user buy-in for change.
- Effectively uses, interprets, applies, and communicates data and information from multiple sources, affecting EHR programs. These data sources include financial reports, clinical and service quality data, human resource data, and external sources. Effectively interprets changes in key indicators and directs key stakeholders in applying information to changes at the hospital and service line level.
- Supports the planning and execution of MHS GENESIS projects in Clinical Workflow Management/Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Modeling and both Clinical and Business Content Management Sections.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse medical community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant major.
- Clinical Informatics or Clinical Degree or a Healthcare related degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Electronic health records and the healthcare revenue cycle
- At least three (3) years of experience providing Clinical Informatics solutions
- Requires in depth knowledge and experience of clinical information systems and Electronic Health Records. Experience with Cerner solutions is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
US Citizenship Required Candidate will need to obtain a DoD Public Trust Clearance
Required to travel to local or other non-local
