***Flexible 40-hour position. Mileage, cell phone and on call reimbursement. ***

This is not a salaried position. The hourly rate is $35.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the RN is primarily responsible for the management of the individual’s healthcare in our program locations. If you are new to nursing this is a wonderful beginning. We have a skilled department of nurses who will assist in training you.

• Acts as a liaison concerning medical issues with consulting physicians, parents/family, Day Program, Emergency Room, Residence Manager, and other Interdisciplinary Team Members.
• Provides nursing services as required by OPWDD regulations and In Flight policies and procedures.
• Reviews all medical records for compliance for prescribe protocols.
• Facilitating training programs to our Direct Support Professionals
• Other additional nursing responsibilities as required by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in nursing with NYS license (BS a plus)
• Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals under OPWDD regulations (preferred)
• Willingness to travel to different program sites
• On call responsibilities on a rotating basis (telephone triage experience helpful)
• Strong collaborative communication skills
