SGS Ireland Limited is currently recruiting a Road Safety Promotion Officers to support the National Road Safety Education Service on behalf of the Road Safety Authority. The Promotion Officer will cover counties within the Leinster Region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering integrated road safety education programs in schools, third level organisations, companies, outreach programs, disadvantaged groups, and community groups as part of the National Road Safety Education Service. This is a contract that SGS Group are a service provider on behalf of the Road Safety Authority.

These programs tackle all elements of road safety including:

• Walking
• Cycling
• Travel by public transport
• Being a passenger
• Urban/rural transport issue
• Practicing safe road behavior
• Vulnerable Road User
• Killer behaviors on Irish Roads

Critical Competencies:

• Hold a third level educational qualification in Training, Education or Community work or the ability to demonstrate exceptional experience in one of these areas
• Efficient schedule management to ensure optimal service delivery
• Effective promotion of road safety campaigns and initiatives
• Ability to develop and maintain a network of contacts within the region and across various types of organisations
• Ability to meet individual and team KPI’s on a weekly and monthly basis without issue
• Compilation and preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Ability to work under pressure meeting challenging deadlines in an efficient and competent manner
• Ability to take initiative and works well on their own and as part of a team
• Demonstrate the ability to be flexible/adaptable, reliable, and tolerant in a changing working environment whilst maintaining efficiencies
• Successful candidate should be pro-active, have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate/communicate effectively with all ages
• Clear understanding of child protection issues
• Patient, enthusiastic, and energetic temperament
• Passion for Road Safety Education
• Strong Proficiency of Microsoft Packages including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams
• Experience using online Learning Platforms an advantage
• Possess a full clean driving license in category “B”- a company vehicle will be provided
• Represent SGS as a leading Road Safety Stakeholder in the role of RSA Ambassador
• Fluent English speaker
