Kal Freight Inc is looking for a Safety Compliance Manager that will plan, direct, and implement safety programs by performing the following duties personally or through other supervisors and manager.

Job Description:

• Plans and implements programs to train managers, supervisors and employees in work safety, practices, incident prevention, correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
• Responsible for safety awareness programs throughout the organization (including all locations CA, AZ, TX, NJ, IN, AR, MO, KS)
• Development and implementation of monthly safety communication to operations and the whole organization.
• Conducts quarterly safety inspections for departments to detect potential accidents, health hazards and compliance with Federal and State Regulations.
• Coordinates DOT, City inspections, Fire inspections, OSHA etc.
• Enforcement of OSHA regulations and company safety policies throughout the organization.
• Conducts quarterly and monthly safety meetings for departments.
• Provides and updates information, signs, posters, barriers and material to warn of potential and actual health and safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
• Manage Workers' Compensation Claims and Early Return-to-Work process.
• Work with claims administrators to effectively manage and close claims.
• Complies and submits accident reports required by OSHA.
• Conducts special training that is required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (CAL-OSHA).
• Updates and audit Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for each location.
• Coordinate New Employee Orientation online training to be in compliance with Federal and State agencies.
• Tours and inspects small or large, complex job sites to ensure compliance with company, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
• Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
