Job Summary:

• The Safety Monitor promotes leadership and helps support the Bay Cove mission and addresses community concerns in a proactive and professional manner.

Welcomes clients,Staff and Guest to Bay Cove Human services by providing a positive, professional and respectful presence at all times. Serves as a community
diplomat and represents Bay Cove Human Services as a good neighbor and responsive community partner. It is your job as safety monitor to support our mission in your day-to-day responsibilities as indicated below. This is a non-exempt position
Responsibilities;

• Patrols front of building, parking lot, and hallways within the building to ensure a calm environment for the interior and exterior of the building.
• Assist safely with the daily arrival and departing shuttles.
• Enforces the rules of theLTSS programs Intervenes in crisis situations using good judgement, communication skills, de-escalation techniques, and calling upon emergency services as needed.
• Upholds the safety of the Bradston St. site community by enforcing the visitor’s policy and protocols.
• Completes DAILY LOG & submits them to the Safety Monitoring Dir. & the Director of Day Services,
• BayCove incident reports in a timely manner for any incident that indicates a Safety Breach or risk to the building, its inhabitants, or exterior of the property, Report any and all property damage’s for immediate repairs. (Sidewalks, driveways, parking Lots, etc.)
• Works assigned scheduled and follows all Bay Cove Human Services Policies
• Attends required training, meetings Communicates in-real time with identified on-site program, supervisory staff.
• When called upon, Responsible for the Supervision of on call Safety monitor’s staffing.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Safety dept.

Requirements for the position:

• Reception, security and excellent customer service skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with clientele and staff
• Maintaining proper boundaries with clientele
• Experience in human services work strongly preferred

• Good organization and communication skills
• Reliable
• Calm demeanor
• Must be responsible and flexible
• A COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within the allotted time frame.
