As we continue to scale, we are seeking a talented Sales Assistant to support the PMC New Business Brokers and working with their agency partners. This position is responsible for providing the sales/broker team with information and support necessary throughout the selling cycle from pre-submission data gathering through the binding process of an insurance policy. This position acts as an integral member of the sales team by providing support within established standards and priorities. Ensures all related activities are delivered in a manner consistent with a high service focus, quality, and timeliness.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organize sales presentations/quotes and ensure all quotes are prepared prior to deadlines
- Work with sales staff in tracking and follow up on outstanding quotes or pending quotes
- Updating quotes/terms as needed prior to effective date
- Gather and prepare underwriting information to ensure broker has a complete detail submission to make quick assessment and placement strategy
- Review submissions for completeness and eligibility and then follow up with agents on submissions/quotes
- Rate prospective insurance applications through online insurance carrier rating engine, when needed
- Communicate with agent to obtain completed information to bind and complete file
- Correspond with insurance carriers regarding status of submissions/quotes for new business prospects
- Create documents and correspond via email with Agents and carriers through PMC agency management system
- Run sales and production reports
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Attention to detail and ability to adhere to a deadline
- Ability to take ownership of work and see each task through each step in the process to completion accurately in a timely fashion
- Proven customer service experience, interacting with a wide variety of people on a daily basis in person, via telephone and email
- Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment; manage workload and prioritize tasks
- Occasional travel may be required
