Sales Associate, Trade Sales
Job description
The eBook Sales Associate will manage library and subscription service accounts while providing support to the eBook National Account Manager and Senior National Account Manager. Major responsibilities include scheduling and monitoring eBook price promotions, communicating with to retail and library eBook accounts, preparing reports and presentation decks for meetings, and completing other administrative tasks.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and troubleshoot scheduled eBook price promotions
- Create agendas for meetings with retailers and in-house teams, using Microsoft Excel and Google Slides
- Create monthly email memos about new releases and publicity updates
- Use databases to analyze eBook sales numbers, and communicate updates to marketing staff
- Oversee Hoopla and Scribd Accounts, including running quarterly calls and business reviews Participate in regular sales and marketing meetings, account calls, and quarterly title presentations
- Coordinate the creation of monthly Diverse Authors Initiative lists and other special eBook promotions
- Support team in ad hoc administrative tasks
What you'll bring:
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently on deadlines and manage time efficiently
- Competence in Microsoft Office, including ability to perform basic analytic tasks in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and calculating percent change
- Proficient in GSuite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms, and Google Documents)
- Interest in sales and the publishing industry
Ideal Experience/Education:
- One to three years of publishing and/or sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
This role will have an annual salary of $53,000 - $56,000.
