The Sales Leader, Digital National Accounts Team role at Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP) leads a team of Digital National Account Managers who will accelerate business results by managing and growing a focused set of National Account headquarter customers, leveraging cross-functional resources and collaborating inside and outside the organization.

Position Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Builds an assertive, proactive, results-oriented direct and indirect team that is passionate about winning through teamwork. Identifies and hires top-tier talent; maximizes team member effectiveness by providing ongoing coaching and feedback; creates opportunities for growth and development.

  • Owning and driving a rigorous sales motion of growing the assigned books of business, through coaching a team of sales professionals, with a bias toward direct contact with the end user decision makers and urgency to action, to exceed targets. Actively involved in sales process for top end users in the book.

  • Coaching the team to meticulously document the sales process, activities, and results in Salesforce.com as well as other digital selling platforms.

  • Seamlessly collaborating and building strategy with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders, problem solving and removing barriers to enable team members to win and delight customers. Working with the NAM leadership team, Digital Sales leadership team, Demand Generation and Customer Experience teams, and the Hybrid Sales Team to grow the assigned books of business through penetration and expansion of the KCP solution. Engaging with distributor stakeholders at the appropriate level while still keeping the bias to own the end user.

  • Coaching the team to develop and deliver best-in-class customer sales presentations and business reviews, using exceptional communication skills.

  • Analyzing customer trends, diagnosing root causes, and creating actionable plans for operational improvements.

  • Acting as liaison between business leaders and team members, with an understanding of business processes and outputs, translating to team members to create organizational alignment.

  • Identifying capability gaps within the team and working across the enterprise to solve for and close gaps, using performance management framework.

  • Proactively communicating with Director of National Accounts regarding performance, pipeline activity, strategy, and capability gaps.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study.

  • At least 7 or more years of relevant B2B sales experience preferred.

  • Experience leading a digital sales team preferred.

  • Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills, and the ability to articulate how team objectives fit into overall organization to foster a sense of team and belonging.

  • A reputation for stakeholder collaboration, communication, and excellent internal and external working relationships.

  • Demonstrated track record of negotiation skills, to coach and lead by example in contract, price, and deal negotiations; experience navigating the contract signing process.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills; the ability to distill complex concepts into simple, motivating messages, using the appropriate platform; executive presence.

  • Data energized, with a working knowledge of data science; understands if data is being collected and interpreted correctly. Can assess and make easily consumable insights for team to use and act upon.

  • Demonstrated behavior and success of growing a book of business through proactive customer-facing activity, with a bias toward owning the end user while working with distribution at the appropriate level.

  • Proven record of utilizing digital sales tools to drive business results, including proven track record of meticulous use of CRM and other relevant tools.
