Patrick Murphy & Sons Fuels is one of Irelands leading manufacturers of premium quality, smokeless coal solid fuel briquettes. A family owned business operating from our plant located in Ovens, Co. Cork and retail/head office on Barrack Street Cork, we’ve specialised in the manufacture of smokeless coal for well over a decade. From here we distribute a range of smokeless fuels to a growing client base of solid fuel retailers and wholesalers across Ireland and the UK.

We are looking for a sales representative to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Growing our customer base and generate new sales leads
• Hitting sales targets
• Meeting/calling current and potential new customers on a regular basis
• Be able to contact potential new customers via cold calling
• Manage any inbound sales enquiries
• Manage current accounts and increase those sales
• Manage negotiations with current and new customers
• Regular reporting of sales activity to manager
• Responsible for merchandising our product range

Requirements

• Experience in sales in a similar industry (energy, fuel, agri stores, DIY etc)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self motivated with a sales driven competitiveness
• Well organised and good negotiation skills
• Ability to work alone and build your own customer/network base
• Ability to research and find potential new customers
• Full clean driving licence
• Fluent in English

Salary base range is €28,000 to €35,000 with potential significant increase with commission and will be offered based on experience. It is a 12 month contract and probationary period for this time.
