Summary
We are currently hiring for a Sales Representative II to join BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this role as Sales Representative II, you will be responsible for the successful marketing (sales, renewals, and/or service) of group and/or individual accounts for products as defined by production quotas within assigned territory. You will also customarily and regularly engage in outside sales.

Logistics
This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday and will be fully remote (W@H).
What You Will Do:
  • Develops and executes marketing plans for new sales and/or retention of existing accounts within assigned territory.
  • Prepares and presents proposals and communications to groups, agents, and/or individuals.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with groups, agents, and/or individuals.
  • Assesses agency, agent, and/or individual sales opportunities and works with groups, agents, and/or individuals to resolve problem issues.
  • Conducts on-going market research and provides key information that may lead to sales.
  • Prepares and submits required marketing reports to management detailing how best to position company products.
  • Maintains product/industry knowledge and marketing skills by attending trading seminars, continuing education classes, conferences, etc.
To Qualify for This Position, You Will Need:
  • High School Diploma OR equivalent
  • Three years sales and marketing.
  • Ability to develop/maintain effective relationships with groups, agents, and potential customers.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, techniques, and the marketplace.
  • Effective presentation and customer service skills.
  • Analytical OR critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, OR influence others.
  • Ability to handle confidential OR sensitive information with discretion.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed.
