The Sanitation Lead must be a self starter who can tackle all tasks given. The position is in a Warehouse setting that includes a refrigerated dock, Cooler, Dry and Freezer areas. This position is industrial type cleaning.The ideal person will be responsible for leading all custodial staff, as well as providing leadership and support to the supervisors/managers. The right candidate will have experience with warehouse operations and a strong interest in upholding a highly organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with managers to ensure that all areas of assigned warehouse is kept clean and well-organized.
• Sweeping aisles, cleaning spills, cleaning broken pallets, plastic and cardboard.
• Ensure that the warehouse is meeting all sanitation requirements at all times and is inspection ready
• Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any problems to the appropriate parties.
• Keep the warehouse space tidy and organized in order to make sure that it is safe for employees and customers.
• Be responsible for the maintenance of equipment used in the company's operations.
• Ensure all tasks are complete per assigned duty list
• Cover any call outs and continue to work with staff on completing tasks.
• Close out shift with a clean and organized warehouse for on-coming shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Springfield, MA 01104: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
