Tired of all the stop-and-go's each day on your current School Bus route? Akina Bus Service is looking to fill School Bus Drivers for our Private School routes. While many Department of Education [DOE] drivers have to make as many as 15 stops per day, the AM/PM route is typically "one stop, one drop". As the position is split shift to accommodate AM/PM routes, additional hours can be earned for fieldtrip and/or after school activities. You are guaranteed a minimum of 5-hours per day if you work both AM and PM runs (25-hours minimum per week and 40+hours per week if you wish). -CDL with ENDORSEMENTS REQUIRED

Looking for other driving opportunities?: Our company not only provides School Bus service, we do lots of youth activities, and field trip events including summer sporting events. What's more, you can "hop over" to another division of the Akina family of companies and drive for a Shopping Shuttle, Airport, Activities & Tour Transfers, and/or Wedding/Family Reunion event transfers. [Hours and wage vary depending on the job.]

Primary Responsibilities:
Our Drivers provide excellent care to our student customers. Using a company provided School Bus, safely transport students to and from designated pick-up points to the destination in a timely fashion.

*We do not offer a relocation package*

Requirements:

• Valid State of Hawaii Driver’s License with CDL A or B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement.
• Commercial Driving Experience
• Must currently reside in Hawaii, preferably Maui
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening
• Must have an excellent driving record -- Will be required to provide a Driver Abstract
• Pre-employment background check required
• Must have a current PUC Medical Examination
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Good work ethic, including punctuality and good attendance
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
• Ability to read and comprehend traffic management systems, training materials and correctly instruct others
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions
• Ability to communicate efficiently and accurately in person, by text, email, and using two-way radio
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $29.50 per hour
