As a screen printing machine operator, your duties and responsibilities are to setup the press, monitor production, adjust the machine to meet specific client specifications, and inspect the finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Before beginning any job, you review the designs/work orders and inspect the equipment to ensure it is in working order. A strong commitment to quality, professionalism and attention to detail is also essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operates printing equipment to quickly and efficiently fulfill orders and meet deadlines
- Monitors print quality throughout the process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of each job; escalates complex print issues to Screen Print Coordinator or Management to ensure the order is not completed without meeting quality standards
- Performs routine upkeep or maintenance on all printing equipment and notifies Screen Print Coordinator or Management of any necessary issues or repairs needed
- Print art files and create screens/plates
- Setup of each order including mixing inks
- Follow all safety protocols
- Maintain and update production logs
- Clean up and resetting equipment after each order
- Training other team members as needed
- Other duties and tasks as needed, such as cleaning and organizing production areas
Requirements
- Required Skills and Qualifications: ● Exceptional attention to detail ● Ability to work efficiently and independently ● Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively ● Previous printing experience with a basic understanding of printing systems strongly preferred ● Effective interpersonal and communication skills ● Able to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced production environment ● Available to work overtime as needed ● Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Physical Requirements: ● Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. ● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. ● Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. ● Occasionally required to climb or balance. ● Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. ● Prolonged periods of standing and operating machinery
- Available to work (hours): Monday - Friday during regular business hours. Occasional evening, weekend and holiday hours may be necessary during peak seasons.
