I am seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a rapidly growing organisation that is building out a very dynamic tech team in Dublin. In this role you will build the automation testing framework, automated tests and quality tools to ensure we are building the right software product the right way. This company has developed a cloud based health care process automation system powered by machine learning that is used by major medical payers around the globe.
You will also be working in a feature team along with software engineers, product managers, project managers, cloud infrastructure engineers and architects owning the quality of the products. SDET is one of the core team members and subject matter expert who defines the testability and maintainability and executes the testing strategy. Our ideal candidate is extremely analytical, detail oriented and sees the hidden sides of things.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director, Test Engineering, build test cases, build and update a robust automation testing framework, build and maintain automated test suite.
- Assess testability for the products and features
- Define optimal testing solutions for highest quality of the applications and products.
- Create a test plan for each release, feature and product to collaborate with the team
- members in the feature team and the functional teams
- Design and develop automation/performance solutions that build reliable, reusable and
- maintainable automated test suites & test harnesses.
- Be the evangelist of quality driven culture in the team
- Mentor team members in testing best practices in all tests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master’s degree preferred) or equivalent experience on the job.
- 3+ years of software development and/or software testing
- 2+ years of developing software
- 2+ years of testing software
- Proficient with any 1 of (Javascript, Python, Typescript)
- Proficient with data manipulation in NoSQL and/or RDBMS
- Comfortable navigating AWS monitoring tools like CloudWatch and ElasticSearch
- Working knowledge with monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, AppAnalytics
- Experience working with APIs
- Experience working with testing libraries (Pytest, Jest, conceptjs, Selenium, Puppeteer, Mocha, etc)
- Experience working with large data files (multi-million records)
- Experience working with AWS lambdas, serverless architecture and microservices architecture
- Experience building performance testing suite
- Experience building automation framework from scratch (using libraries is fine) is a huge plus
