ResourceMFG is in search of an Industrial Seamstress for our client located in Washington Township, Michigan.

The Industrial Seamstress is responsible for sewing covers to fulfill sales orders. Additionally, the Industrial Seamstress is responsible for reviewing the Sewing Production Schedule to be informed of work load and priorities. Also, navigate the CRM to print sales orders and communicate when sales orders are completed and prepared to ship. The scope of this position includes communicating the status of jobs with the Chief Financial Officer and communicating any parts issues with Materials personnel, as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Sew covers in a timely manner

2. Completes detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely

3. Review the Sewing Production Schedule

4. Print sales orders and engineering drawings, if and when they are required

5. Maintain sewing patterns

6. Package and prep orders, when they are completed

Additional Responsibilities

1. Perform as a member of the Materials and Manufacturing teams.

2. Report Continuous Improvement or Corrective Action Suggestions to the Management Team.

1. Can work with limited supervision

2. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills

3. Ability to read and thoroughly comprehend all manufacturing instructions

4. Ability to manage issues in a timely manner

Background/Experience/Education Requirements

• 1-3 years of industrial sewing experience

• Experience using industrial/commercial sewing machines

• Ability to thread sewing machines & change needles safely

• Understand and comply with all safety instructions

• Basic computer knowledge; proficient in Microsoft Office

• Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret patterns

• Outward thinking and well organized; the ability to display confidence with the ability to multi-task in an environment of tight deadlines and shifting priorities

• The ability to work cooperatively with internal production teams
