***SEASONAL HELP OPPORTUNITY***

Timmer’s Resort located on the beautiful Big Cedar Lake in West Bend is looking to add an experienced Line Cook to our team during our busy summer season! Position duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to; Preparing menu items following recipes, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safe food handling and sanitation requirements, and working in a team environment. Candidate must be able to work in a high paced, high volume environment while maintaining a calm demeanor and upholding Timmer's Resorts high food standards!

This is a great position to continue your culinary or restaurant career, with opportunities for growth and development! This is a non-exempt role that reports directly to the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies and items for service
  • Preparing ingredients for assembly (e.g. chopping, dicing, cutting of vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.)
  • Cooking menu items following recipe standards or guest specifications
  • Stocking inventory and supplies as needed
  • Following cleanliness and sanitation procedures and policies in compliance with regulatory requirements

Pay and Schedule

  • Starting at $15/hr based on experience
  • Part-Time or Full-Time hours available. Benefits available for Full-Time employees who average a minimum of 30 hours per week, after 60 days
  • Earn Paid Time Off (yes, even part-timers!)

Working Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Coordination and motor skills are required for the ability to properly handle a knife, chop items, and safe operation various kitchen equipment
  • Exposure to; extreme temperatures with fluctuations, loud noises, and wet or slippery floors

Requirements:

  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to read/comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and commercial equipment
  • Basic knowledge of professional cooking including knife handling, equipment operation, and food preparation
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
