Job description
The City of Lancaster is looking for a Seasonal Park Maintenance employee for the Parks Department.
JOB DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsible for caring and maintaining grass, trees, shrubs, grounds, buildings, facilities, equipment and all other items in the city park and recreation department.
Performs cleaning tasks on grounds and buildings, picking up and disposing of all items not suitable for park operations;
Checks and insures safety and cleanliness of all playground equipment, buildings and other areas;
Performs routine repair work, painting, concrete work and operates power equipment safely;
Maintains recreation activity areas;
Keeps records and reports as required;
Ability to work in all types of weather.
Performs other duties as assigned related to the essential functions.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the City’s Liability Policy to operate City equipment and vehicles.
Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, driving record check and criminal background investigation.
