The Controller is responsible for the entire accounting cycle for Momentum Solar’s New Home Division. The individual in this role must not only have the requisite technical knowledge but also the ability to be a visible, hands-on leader for an entrepreneurial and rapidly growing division.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise direct reports and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets and financial statements.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate and that all transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working with other management team members to establish financial goals and objectives.
• Provide financial analysis to other management team members to help with decision-making.
• Oversee the management of cash flow.
• Protect accounting records by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 2-4 years of experience within the construction industry.
• People leader and influencer.
• Strong knowledge percentage of completion accounting methodology.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to commute to the office 2-3 times a week
• Experience with NetSuite.
