Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will align with the Revenue Team at UserTesting to be responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to Revenue and A/R accounts following proper process and controls. This individual will be preparing the standalone selling price analysis (SSP) and other reviews to support the Company's documentation in accordance with ASC 606

This position works closely with other functions within UserTesting (Sales Operations, Legal, Revenue Operations, Finance, Professional Services, Enterprise Systems, Customer Success).

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of calculations for recording revenue, contra-revenue, sales allowances, and deferred revenue transactions.
• Prepare timely and complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account analyses
• Prepare month-end close processes related to revenue & accounts receivable including preparing and supporting complex journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing variance analysis reporting.
• Assist in daily review of sales contracts to identify any clauses or discounts impacting revenue recognition
• Ability to collaborate on accounting treatment for non-standard transactions and explain any issues or propose alternative solutions
• Help in gathering audit deliverables related to selections made other PBC requests
• Assist with process and system improvements to support company growth while maintaining data integrity over revenue and related transactions.
• Lead in creating step-by-step process documentation for all processes and controls on par with a public company.
• Research and understand GAAP pronouncements as circumstances arise.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• A mix of industry experience and "Big 4" or second-tier national public accounting experience strongly preferred. Technology background a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office, advanced skills in Excel required
• System experience with Netsuite, Salesforce Billing, and Intacct a plus
• Strong general ledger and subledger (e.g., accounts receivable) skills
• Ability to quickly learn and understand the processes of team members so that he/she can motivate, challenge, and develop them
• Ability and desire to work in a "hands on" environment in which individuals at the highest levels are expected to prepare deliverables while also performing supervisory and review responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical accounting pronouncements pragmatically to the "real world"
