Job description
Overview: Responsible for assisting the Shared Service Accounting group in the financial close and maintenance of the general ledger, performing financial analysis and business support to the US operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee finance and accounting functions to include journal entries, reconciliation, financial reporting and operating and capital expenditures
- Participate in month-end closing for multiple entities.
- Perform proper review to ensure that accounting records are accurate, complete and ledgers are closed in a timely manner.
- Analyze and provides operational management accurate and key financial information
- Ensure internal controls exist and are monitored and reviewed to adequately mitigate risk inherent in key processes.
- Ensures Company policies are followed, and all transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
- Establishes and maintains internal controls including SOX compliance.
- Serves as liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Coordinates or assists with the budget process.
- Researches issues and prepares technical memos in accordance with GAAP.
- Supervises accounting staff and supports their development.
- Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
- Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required.
- May be required to work Holidays and weekends.
- Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals.
- Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Experience in preparing company tax provisions is a plus
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience / Education
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent roles
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- MBA, CPA and/or CMA preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
- Need to be able to read, write and understand English
- Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of SEC regulations and provisions of SOX
- Knowledge of US GAAP, and knowledge of IFRS or China GAAP a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,606.36 - $93,055.79 per year
