Job description

My client with offices in Miami is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to cover for a maternity leave. The role is for a minimum of 3 months. This position will be exposed to a variety of areas and challenges in this asset management firm with a sizable portfolio. The individual will review all operational procedures and issues and recommend changes, drive process improvements, design workflows and streamline processes on a continual basis to create a better efficiency in all aspects of the company.

• Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation.
• Create automated spreadsheets for stake holders as needed.
• Prepare complicated journal entries, supporting documentation, and account reconciliation.
• Participate in accounting closing cycle with general ledger maintenance.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to support special projects.
• Assist with audits, forecasts, and other fiscal planning.

Required

• Bachelor of Science with emphasis in accounting/finance.
• 5 years minimum work experience with at least 2 years’ experience in a senior or lead accountant role
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control
• Excellent technical skills, Excel Spreadsheet and Microsoft Word and ERP
• Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $50.00 - $52.00 per hour
