We are currently seeking an Senior Analyst, Material Planning and Control to join our team in our Stennis Space Center location in Mississippi. We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated, and organized individual. Candidates will work in a dynamic position with a diverse product range.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a dynamic highly engineered product environment with changing requirements and schedules, and be able to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, and have the ability to plan, organize, and track work assignments. Candidate is responsible to analyze and release MRP supply and demand requirements for components supporting both production and development programs. Tasks include the analysis of program manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) and schedules for the manufacturing, assembly and test. This also includes the identification of supply chain shortages to ensure velocity is maintained during the fabrication, assembly, and test cycle across multiple Aerojet Rocketdyne sites.
This position works directly with Assembly and Test, Engineering, Program, and Procurement personnel on a daily basis. This position works directly with other MRP analyst from across the enterprise to coordinate hardware requirements for various programs. This position will use historical and forecast data, with the goal of helping program teams reach optimum solutions to issues/concerns involving internal and external customer requirements.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):Working under general supervision, job responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
40% - Review MRP Plan; problem solve exception messages. Release Supplier Requisitions and Shop Orders for both MBOM and independent demand requirements. Identify and initiate Program Inventory Surplus/Close Out.
20% - Advise Program Management of problems or conflicts related to achieving the scheduled milestones. Interface with Program Manager, Integrated Product Team (IPT) team members, Procurement and planning to mitigate risk to schedule due to real or pending hardware shortages.
20% - Interface with other Master Schedulers in support of the Integrated Production Master Schedule to resolve conflicts with other programs. Ensure successful and disciplined use of MRP, represent Planning department in various program status meetings, customer audits.
10% - Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support the specific program effort or department initiatives.
10% - Engage in Career Development opportunities including APICS certification classes and Lean Six Sigma classes.
Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Business Management/Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or other Technical Degree and 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
- US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-function / cross-site teams.
- Operations, Procurement, Scheduling and Engineering Value Stream experience, or demonstrated willingness to learn.
- Technical Savvy and/or willingness to learn Oracle, Delmia, MS Office (Excel, SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Oracle/Delmia Experience.
- American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification.
- Demonstrated Lean Experience.
