RES is looking for a Senior Arborist / Urban Forestry Consultant with six or more years of relevant work experience. The location for this position can be Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando or Tampa.

The mission: To maintain and grow RES’ position in the marketplace providing arborist and urban forestry consulting services, including training and mentoring junior staff, managing projects statewide, seeking growth opportunities nationwide, and utilizing RES’ advanced geospatial capabilities to develop new offerings for existing and new clients.

What your day-to-day might look like?

This role includes a mix of field and office work. You will spend time conducting technical work (tree inventories, tree assessments, canopy studies), training and mentoring junior staff, and assisting with business development and client management.

Qualifications

We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

• S. Degree in arboriculture, forestry, botany, horticulture, biology or a related field from an accredited college or university
• ISA Certified Arborist, preferably with TRAQ
• Experience conducting tree inventories, tree assessments and other applicable services
• Knowledge of Florida trees and tree regulations
• Proficient in the use of GPS, GIS and other applicable technologies
• Proven track record of business development
