The Opportunity:
Based in New Plymouth, the Senior Assessor - Logs role with AsureQuality is a pivotal role in the compliance and safety of New Zealand's forestry imports and exports.
It will centre on providing quick, efficient and professional inspection, assessment and communication to internal and external logging customers, ensuring a green light can be given for disease free, clean and safe transport of their cargo.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has forestry or port experience or for someone who is open to learning and development in this area.
This is a casual role centred around the port with varied hours from week to week, including weekends based on shipping timetables.
About You:
To help with success in this role you should have …
- Exemplary attention to detail and the ability to provide solid professional data feedback
- Capability with field based data systems including phone apps and laptops
- A strong fit mind and body and enjoyment of outdoor employment!
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills and the confidence to manage conflicting interests
- A strong health and safety focus
- A full, clean New Zealand drivers licence is desired.
