Over recent years we have grown our Infrastructure Asset Management capability and have had great success working with many large infrastructure asset owners and government departments on the island of Ireland working on key projects that affect all of our lives.

Our team works with major public and private sector entities across all sectors but principally those with major infrastructure commitments in transport, energy, power & utilities, digital infrastructure, health and education.

  • Capital works / projects procurement advice.
  • Infrastructure projects business case advice.
  • Transformation - Asset Management operating models.
  • Strategic Business Planning, investment decision making and investment optimisation Asset Strategy and Asset Policy.
  • Asset Information & Asset Data - helping clients improve their data and information capability or bringing insights through analysis.
  • Asset Diligence & Assurance.
  • Reviews of programme and project controls on major projects and capital portfolios.
  • Governance and risk management.
  • Project, programme and portfolio management advice.
  • Performance and efficiency improvement.
  • Troubled project reviews.
  • Technology integration advisory.

We are now seeking to hire a Senior Associate with a understanding of in Digital Infrastructure Asset Management across the infrastructure lifecycle to join our team in Belfast or Dublin .

We work on an all-Ireland basis working closely with colleagues across Dublin, Belfast and Cork. We also have close links with our Global Infrastructure network to share good practice and work collaboratively across clients and opportunities.

The Person

We are seeking to hire ambitious individuals with enthusiasm for making a difference to critical infrastructure and public services The technical background will vary and will likely to come from an asset, project, engineering, economic and/or business management background for asset intensive organisations.

The person will have:
  • A Degree in a related subject such as Finance, Maths, Engineering or Economics
  • Up to 3 years post graduate experience.
  • Evidence of your passion for infrastructure and transformational change in government services and experience in a related area
  • Numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • An appetite to apply yourself on a broad range of challenges and learn new skills in a challenging and supportive environment.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience or evidence of interest in one or more key sectors of Transport, Telecoms, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Defence, Property/Estates or Utilities.
  • Ability to focus on the strategic value of asset management and capital projects and not just the engineering/operational level. Subsets of this include:
  • Asset life cycle management.
  • Capital planning
  • Renewals/Capital maintenance
  • Asset management policy and strategy.
  • Assessing and managing asset management risks.
  • Asset management information and knowledge.
  • Life-cycle decision-making.
  • Developing asset management plans.
  • Managing asset lifecycle activities.
  • Awareness of Project Management concepts and approaches.Awareness of the use of data and information in developing tools and techniques to aid strategic decision making.
  • Awareness of data and information frameworks such as BIM and Digital Twins.
  • Awareness of regulatory requirements applicable to industries such as water, energy and transport.
  • Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
  • The ability to use tools/platforms/languages such as Power BI, Tableau, Python or R would be an advantage.
  • Experience of or exposure to Business Change in asset management, engineering or technology projects.
  • Awareness of trends in of digital approaches and improvements within Infrastructure sectors or insight on where trends in other sectors could be applied to Infrastructure would be an advantage.

Your work will be varied. Below will be some of your core responsibilities:
  • Working in teams on diverse and complex client engagements.
  • Managing junior team members on projects, ensuring that the quality of our deliverables are high.
  • Managing the use and development of tools and methodologies across the team and within projects.
  • Engaging with global teams to leverage experience, resources and capabilities.
  • Helping to manage the day to day relationship with key client contacts, ensuring our service is responsive to their needs.
  • Ensuring KPMG's quality and risk management procedures are completed to the appropriate standard.
  • Applying innovative and creative techniques to solve complex problems on client engagements.
