Job Title : Business Analyst II

Location : Illinois 60607

Duration : 6 – 12 Months

Pay range: $38.00 - $40.00 hourly.

Job Summary

• Looking for a less technical focused, more business focused Analyst for this role.
• BAs will be generating, validating, and consolidating standard reports for Category Line Review based on criteria provided by CLR Insights core team.
• Reports will include item level attributes and performance, market and competitive category performance, customer category behavior and store clustering performance.
• The main function of a Business Analyst is to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formation, or other managerial functions.
• A typical Business Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing data and developing decision support software.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related field required.
• MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, or data modeling
• Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-time logistics at a competitive cost to Operations.
• Manages logistics specialists, ensures proper training path is accomplished, assess their competencies, and identifies learning opportunities.
• Ensures appropriate levels of support is given to internal/ external customers and works with the Logistics Manager to fill gaps.
• Serves as the first point of contact for the logistics operational issues.
• Implements and/ or supports logistics cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensures compliance of all services and transactions to all applicable SLB and regulatory guidelines (including but not limited to, land transport guidelines, HSE policies, local and international regulations and dangerous goods requirements).
• Ensure all Service Quality incidents are reported on time in QUEST and investigated when necessary.
• Ensure timely escalation of potential service quality failures to line management.
• Active involvement in reviewing and assessing the performance of logistics service providers through proactive engagement with Logistics Category/ Supplier Manager.
• Proactive engagement with internal customers via regular business/ service quality reviews.
• Ensure compliance of the team with internal procedures and management of deviations through proper change management protocol.
• Stays current with all safety training requirements.
• Is accountable for minimizing rental fleet idle time and optimizing truck capacity utilization.
• Works closely with Operations to develop Mobilization/Demobilization (Mob/Demob) Forecast.
• Works closely with Logistics specialist assigned to receive and execute the Mob/Demob plan.

Top Skills Needed:

• Prior experience consolidating reports in Power Point and Excel after generating.
• Will be using existing tools including Circana (IRI) Unify and other custom Walgreen’s applications leveraging Excel Templates.
• Experience joining meetings and presenting data to cross-functional partners.
• Advanced in Excel lookups and Pivot tables
• Understanding of retail KPI's (Sales, Profit, pricing, distribution, store clustering, sales transference)
• Experience with formulating mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters.
• Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems.
• Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models, as necessary.
• Define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests.
