Job Description:
Fidelity Labs is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a new team as part of an enterprise-wide initiative. The team’s focus will be on designing and developing the front-end digital experience for a new Direct Indexing investment solution. This role will be responsible for delivering the product to the business, through a deep understanding, synthesis, and realization of the business requirements, user requirements, and technical requirements. To succeed, the analyst will collaborate closely with Product Management, UX Design, and Program Management to help define and structure the work for the development team.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 8+ years as a systems analyst delivering software
- Financial investing knowledge and experience
- Hands-on experience in building and scaling a new business and product offering backed by innovative technology and techniques
- Ability to zoom into the day-to-day nitty gritty when needed, then zoom out to see the bigger strategy picture and vision
- Contribute to the product roadmap through the thoughtful prioritization of features (advised by analytics and user feedback), the writing of Agile stories, and coordination and prioritization with both product and engineering
- Contribute to the ongoing support of existing clients by helping to investigate issues and bugs, growing the knowledge base through thorough product write-ups and FAQs, or running ad hoc experiments to better understand future feature desirability
- Continuous improvement mentality and encourage an Agile way of working
- Removing impediments to deliver value
- Measuring performance through established metrics and deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results
- Undergraduate degree, graduate degree with a focus in analytics or equivalent experience
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a self-starter. You enjoy connecting the dots, taking disparate processes and pieces of information, synthesizing them, and standardizing a process or proposing a solution.

- Ability to diagram business processes and system workflows
- Experience working with design and testing of APIs, database/SQL
- Evaluating designs of existing systems to judge their functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage, maintainability
- Partnering with solution and infrastructure architects, scrum masters, user experience designers, developers, and quality assurance engineers in proposing and aligning on end-to-end technology solutions
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management and facilitation skills with the ability to work in a collaborative manner.
- Elevate squad members and business partners to make informed strategic and tactical decisions through recommendations that lead to actionable outcomes (scope, priority, solution design)
- Ability to translate technical jargon into a common language so that full impact can be established by the business
- Capable of balancing multiple contending priorities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to discuss and present ideas to colleagues and business partners
- Actively sharing relevant insights, knowledge, industry standard methodologies and developments within your area of expertise across the organization
