Job Overview
As part of Group Compliance function, this role involves delivering Compliance monitoring assignments and reports directly to the Group Compliance Manager.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from the Management Team and progress in an environment which will support and encourage career progression. There is an excellent remuneration and benefits package for the successful candidate.
This is a hybrid role primarily based in FBD Head Office, Dublin 12. There is no routine travel to other FBD sites required for this role. There may be a pre-planned requirement to visit Irish based sites as part of a monitoring assignment
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the continued development and implementation of the Compliance Framework and delivery of the Compliance Plan;
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews from initiation to completion;
- Write clear and concise reports for use by key stakeholders;
- Recommend control improvements that add value to the business;
- Work with management to develop practical solutions for issues identified;
Job Responsibilities
- Tracking and reporting of issues to the Management;
- Provide advice to the business on appropriateness and effectiveness of controls and the application of rules, regulations and the company’s compliance policies and procedures;
- Champion and promote a positive consumer culture in all engagement;
- Carry out other Compliance function tasks as required by Management.
Education
- Professional Diploma in Compliance (LCOI); working towards or willingness to complete.
Experiences
- Minimum three years’ monitoring/audit experience in a compliance, risk, or internal audit role is a key “must have” requirement.
Competencies
- Strong knowledge of current financial service legislative and regulatory environment (in particular conduct risk).
- General Insurance background desirable.
- Strong judgment and influencing skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and effective time management.
- Strongly self-motivated, takes initiative, drives to completion and focused on outcomes.
