T-Mobile has been very successful in the marketplace, in part because of our ability to launch new features and drive the market (several years of Un-Carrier initiatives). One cost of this velocity is the accumulation of a certain amount of process and control challenges, especially as it relates to security and other regulatory compliance areas.

The Senior Manager, IT Compliance (TRM) is responsible for evaluating business and IT processes to identify, assess and mitigate IT SOX risks and to team with other parts of our TRM organization for other IT Regulatory and IT operational risks. This is done to support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives through risk governance, ongoing monitoring and reporting. A deep and robust understanding of SOX requirements is needed to manage daily interactions with our internal governance teams and external auditors. This will be accomplished most often leading teams of 10+ employees and may lead teams of onshore and offshore contracting companies. Direct reporting line may include team(s) of Technology Solution Managers and IT Risk and Compliance Analysts. Direct interaction and collaboration with various internal automation and process improvement teams who will be responsible for the development and implementation of numerous efforts to reduce the impact of compliance requirements with our stakeholders.

Additionally, we need a leader that builds strong teams through constantly evolving business drivers and projects with dependencies on other internal teams and application vendors. You will ensure this team uses proven tools, methods, and strategies to deliver measurable improvements in processes and IT SOX Risk Management - improving efficiency and the strategic impact of the organization while also lowering costs and improving efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vision, mentorship, support and recommendations to T-Mobile Technology and other business leaders and teams, and translate risks and SOX Regulatory requirements effectively to teams for process solutions
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching for programs/initiatives as well as individual professional development.
  • Provide guidance and direction to project managers throughout their SOX project life cycle.
  • Lead and validate the quality of work produced by the team. Serve as the owner of the escalation point for high impact project issues and risks
  • Provide respective functional group and other functional business teams guidance, support, and vision to deploy technology and improve business processes
  • Recruit and hire personnel with appropriate abilities that can work effectively in the T-Mobile environment.
  • Build and inspire Career Development plans, including training for your team.
  • Track and approve team expenses in accordance with budget.
  • Ensure staffing plans are maintained to support the current and future work demands and project goals.
  • Lead through Management team to ensure business initiatives, technology roadmap, communications, training, change management and vendor management are supported.
  • Provide strategic guidance and project prioritization efforts
  • Commit to standardized and repeatable project management processes and guidelines in line with industry standard and methodologies
  • Provide direction on product management documentation tools and templates, and promote utilization of project tools
  • Finds opportunities for cross-competency area participation and contacts appropriate personnel.
  • Executive presence and ability to maintain an operational focus while building against long-range plans

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years proven experience as a manager, or other equivalent leadership experience in Big 4 External Audit or Consulting services or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in IT SOX project management or equivalent, with validated history of successful project management.

Washington Pay Range : $153,500.00 - $207,700.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
