TechHeads has an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a Day Rate Contract (6 Months Initially – extensions likely). This is a Hybrid role that will require some time onsite.
Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field OR equivalent related work experience – preferably with a focus on Data Analytics
• 5+ years of related experience
• Required Domain Expertise:
• Big data workloads
• Experience with data lakes and scale-out processing on them
• Relational database design and best practices
• Data strategy including Data Governance and Data management
• Required Technical Skills:
• Big data workloads
• Experience with data lakes and scale-out processing on them
• Relational database design and best practices
• Data strategy including Data Governance and Data management
• Required Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience designing and developing Spark data pipelines
• Fluent in Python
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Tableau and Power BI
• Good understanding of Azure Data Services (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen 2)
• Experience working with multiple data sources and types (structured/unstructured)
• Solid understanding of the evolving data landscape and cloud-based big data workloads
• Experience implementing ETL/ELT workloads
• Excellent technical documentation skills to translate development components.
• Source control experience with a Git variant
• Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum
• Ability to present ideas and insights to business stakeholders
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: €375.00-€425.00 per day
