As Senior Director, Information Security (Security Operations), you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategy and vision for the Cyber Security Operations at XPO. You will be responsible for building compelling strategic vision for protecting the XPO information assets and seeing them through to fruition by influencing senior leaders and other collaborators. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Enable the implementation and operationalization of numerous security controls
• Develop and drive alignment of the overall security operations vision and roadmap
• Implement consistent measurement and visibility of results, dependencies and connection points across multiple stakeholders throughout the enterprise
• Ensure risk-driven security roadmaps are effectively prioritized and sequenced to reduce the risk to XPO's customers, associates, and overall business strategy
• Partner with functional and technical leaders to identify and plan capabilities necessary to drive alignment of overall product vision and enterprise roadmap for the Company's priorities and common services
• Drive strategy for the prioritization, sequencing and execution of roadmaps and ensure that capital is effectively deployed across the enterprise
• Manage and coordinate strategic direction for staff; provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to direct reports
• Lead a global operations team responsible for responding to security incidents, assembling the relevant supporting data and taking the appropriate escalation or action

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 8 years of cyber security operations, vulnerability management, security engineering, risk management and/or security architecture experience
• Experience in designing and leading fusion centers and/or DevSecOps; background in Security Operations Center and Security engineering leadership
• Experience assessing cybersecurity maturity and building multi-year roadmaps to advance maturity; familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain and NIST CSF frameworks.
• Working knowledge of security, risk, and control frameworks and standards, Center for Internet Security Controls, OWASP, security related regulations including SOX,
• Experience managing cyber threat investigations and a keen understanding of the current cyber threat landscape
• Understanding of how to integrate cybersecurity incident response with enterprise resilience functions; experience with cyber exercises
• Strategically minded with the ability to present complex concepts to an executive audience while also leading a team of subject matter experts
• Adept at building highest performing teams with a keen emphasis on diversity and inclusion, maintaining performance standards, motivating associates and developing their careers
• Experience managing a large portfolio of projects and familiarity with PCI and SOX compliance frameworks

It’d be great if you also have:

• 10+ years of cyber security operations, vulnerability management, security engineering, risk management and/or security architecture experience
• 7+ years as a manager over technical team Hands-on experience in Incident Response (IR) and 24/7 security operations
• Technical knowledge of security technologies including IDS/IPS, EDR, Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, SOAR
• Additional experience in IT network infrastructure, Windows/UNIX platforms, Application Security, Cloud, and Operational Technology (OT)
• Significant experience in cybersecurity operational roles (Incident Response, Threat Intel, Vulnerability Management, Countermeasures, and Internal Threat)
• Broad knowledge of perimeter security operations technology to include web application firewalls, Network IDS/IPS, Cloud, and Email Security
• Experience managing operations playbooks, run books, and performance measures
• Strong performance maintaining and optimizing operations leveraging industry best practices
• Experience leading a distributed team that provides 24/7 operational support and excellent service delivery
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
