Position Summary:
We are looking to hire a talented and eager Senior Director, Patient Liaison to join our team in a remote position. The Patient Liaison Team provides travel and reimbursement support to patients and clinical trial sites involved in pharmaceutical research trials. This role would be responsible for ensuring customers (patients and clinics) of Scout Clinical receive excellent and consistent service. This includes oversight of Patient Liaison Managers as they lead the regional teams in daily operations functions, including review travel and expense reimbursement requests, partnering with our vendors to fulfill services, and answering questions in a timely and courteous manner. In addition, this role will provide oversight and support of vendor management, telecommunications, software and other needed technical requirements of the global team.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Vendor identification, training, oversight, management, and performance evaluation of travel and reimbursement vendors
- Act as main operational subject matter expert for the software development team to ensure patient, site and Patient Liaison needs are met in the Scout Portal
- Solution development and implementation of global communication management tool capability protecting patient data.
- Global telecom oversight, ensuring proper coverage for anticipated scope
- Collaborate with Executive Management on group structure, job roles, and scaling
- Support Executive Management with the development of processes to provide efficiencies associated with the core job functions of the Patient Liaison role
- Provide reporting and analysis of time tracking data to Executive Management
- Support the Director of Utilization as needed to increase site and patient service utilization
- Setting SMART goals for Patient Liaison Team
- Support and mentorship of Patient Liaison Management team toward achieving goals
- Act as representative of the Patient Liaison team to all Scout departments
- Serve as the escalation point of contact to our clients, patients, study sites, vendors and other related parties for each study
- Develop and maintain necessary Work Instructions and collaborate with Quality Management on SOPs
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and knowledge:
- Minimum of five year management experience at a mid-level or senior level
- Minimum of one year experience in the healthcare or life sciences industries
- BS or BA degree
- Experience with training teams a plus
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, database software, project management tools)
- Ability to modify, edit and create Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to modify, edit and create Word documents
- Knowledge and understanding of foreign currency and ability to convert to USD
- Ability to handle multiple projects / tasks simultaneously
- Ability to handle many studies in various stages concurrently
- Ability to track and manage key dates / deadlines
